Kirsten has worked with children with autism since 1997 in early intervention home programs. Since the release of her book she has been invited to give talks and lectures on both writing and her experiences with autism. She also has experience teaching creativity, drama and running workshops in various related disciplines.
Kirsten is currently the educator at an early intervention centre operated under the auspices of Action in Autism in Durban. The Early Intervention Centre currently accommodates 12 pre-school children and has 7 full time staff members as well as visiting therapists.
